I haven't seen the anime for Chobits, but the Manga made me cry. And the final episode of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (TOS) made me cry too.

Angel Beats! is my selection! Yui's story was sad but it was a good ending!

Oh man, Angel Beats! on my first go-around was something else. Honestly, the author's other works, such as Charlotte was another classic for me.

Death Note and Chihayafuru had their effects on me too but not like how Violet Evergarden went deep with me.
