Anime sequels that are better than the original

I previously posted a topic about anime sequels that fell off, so let's have a twist on that. Which anime sequels in your opinion, had a better story or were just better than the original season that aired?

My personal favorite would have to be Clannad: After Story. Genuinely one of my favorite sequels of all time. It brought so much emotion that I genuinely think that was the first anime that actually made me cry.
